JavIer Lazo, Producer-Just Play Peru, Guitarist, Singer-songwriter
Musician and singer-songwriter Javier Lazo is producer of Just Play Peru and the co-producer of the album "The Warrior Women of Afro-Peruvian Music." Javier has recorded with Pedro Aznar and Chocolate Algendones on the album Esperanza Grande and also participated in the Latin Grammy nominated album A Chabuca, featuring Rubén Blades. He has written for the renowned Peruvian fusion band "Novalima" and singer Susana Baca and currently leads production and social intiatives for Just Play. Visit Javier >>
ZÉ LUIS, MUSIC & CONTENT Producer, Sax, Flute
Since 2013, Zé Luis Oliveira has had an integral role to the Just Play series, initially as a consultant and playing for MGP21, and then producing, recording, mixing and playing sax and flute on the series in New York, New Orleans, San Juan and Cuba. His work producing the album Trade Winds Cuba garnered recognition in the first round of the 2015 Grammys including consideration for best improvised jazz solo by Zé. He is a multi-Grammy nominated artist who became famous in Brazil in the 1980's performing and recording with Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Gal Costa, Tania Maria and Cazuza.
